A Sirocco saw that has been rebranded, that’s what this appears to be. It doesn’t really matter.

It was delivered with 99 percent of the parts assembled. I connected the dust hose and secured the knobs, guard, and dust vac in their respective positions. I’m ready to take off. It took about 5 minutes from start to finish to complete the project.

Things I like: I appreciate how simple it is to use and set up. The process of cutting flooring and quarter round is virtually dustless. Really. This is a no-brainer in my opinion. It’s lightweight and portable. I can easily move it from one room to another.

Making adjustments is a simple process. For 99 percent of the jobs, the measurements are accurate enough to be used. To dial in the 1 percent, use an angle gauge to measure the angle.

Things that I made better. I labeled the rear rail with the corresponding measurements from the front rail. The guard does not slide smoothly, and it must be measured to ensure that it is parallel to the floor. If the front and back are not measured, the front and back can be off by a few millimeters. This is extremely inconvenient, but it is also extremely simple to correct. It would have been nice if the extension was on a rack and pinion.

One thing I didn’t care for was the fact that the plug was not grounded and that the machine was not grounded. Bizarre.

The dust bag is simple to empty and can hold a substantial amount of dust before needing to be cleaned.

In general, I’m pleased with it.
