I have a Surebonder 9610, with which I am extremely satisfied. This model is by far inferior to the previous one. I couldn’t tell how many staples were left because there was no sight glass, and there was no contact safety to ensure that you didn’t fire without pressing it down. The trigger safety also caused me to accidentally fire the gun while attempting to set it to safety.

Because the staples were sticking to me and not sliding into the magazine properly, I had to reposition them. Putting the magazine back together after I had taken it apart took more than an hour because the spring had to be inserted carefully to avoid it all falling apart. It appeared as though the entire mechanism had been poorly constructed; the metal appeared as though it was supposed to catch on something, but it simply had not been constructed properly.
