To split some big logs, I was looking for a tool that was a little fancy and new. I’m almost 60, and splitting wood can be a real pain. There were a few things that worked well, but most of them were too expensive and didn’t have good reviews. It was time for me to go back to basics, so I bought this to do it. What a cinch. Split logs with knots and drove right through wet wood. I used a small claw hammer to set it and then hit it with my 16 lb. sledge. I only had to lift the 16 lb. sledge about a foot or so above this wedge and hit it 5 to 10 times. That was all I had to do. That would have been a waste of money. This is all I need right now.
