——. Update: After only 6 hours of use, the TR Jack Hammer failed. ——. The TR Jack hammer appears to be of high quality, but I’m not sure it’s worth $500. The XtremepowerUS 2200Watt Heavy Duty Electric Demolition Jack hammer, which costs $140, is a more affordable alternative that is easier to maneuver in tight spaces due to its lighter weight and 6″ shorter overall length than the TR. It also has a trigger, which allows you to stop the jack hammer in a matter of seconds, whereas the TR hammer does not, instead having only an on/off switch, which is inefficient. The TR hammer is heavier than the Xtremepower hammer, but it appears to have breaking power that is very similar to the Xtremepower hammer. The TR hammer appears to be more solidly constructed, but it has a significant number of flaws, especially considering its low price. I’ve been using the Xtremepower hammer for more than 50 hours and it’s still in good working order; I haven’t even changed the oil yet. Because of its low price, I regarded the Xtremepower as a squandered opportunity, but it has far exceeded my expectations.
