EASY TO USE- By releasing the fix handle, you can move the tailstock forward and backward; the MT2 dead center can be adjusted by releasing the quill lock and turning the tailstock handwheel.
It is possible to move the Cross Slide freely by moving both the horizontal blade switch to the left and the turn handle.
To fix the handle and dead center, the two holes on the top and side of the handle can be rotated with a wrench to the desired positions.
Arrived packed in 1/4-inch plywood, but the package had been split open and parts were missing when it arrived. The assembly instructions and parts list are supposed to be on page 10 of the small manual, but the manual only goes up to page 8 of the tiny manual. This machine has a lot of slop in the cross feed hand wheel..the bottom retainer for the tail stock is missing, as well as the toggle for a hand wheel.. .
Because the unit actually works, it gets two stars….
I’ll decide whether to upgrade or downgrade after I manufacture replacement parts on my large lathe and put this one through its paces.
Aside from that, the back splash guard is severely bent, and the gear casing is littered with metal chips. I’m not pleased.
