My purpose for purchasing this was to drill 1 1/2″ holes in the top framing that were difficult to reach in order to run internet wiring throughout my home. Someone else mentioned that lubricating it before each use would make it more quiet; I rescued some grease from an old Milwaukee drill and used it, and it appeared to work perfectly. In the corner, there was a tiny dab of light blue waxy substance that didn’t look like it would last the distance. The gears inside this appeared to be strong and should be able to withstand repeated use. I did have to tighten the drill motor chuck quite a bit because otherwise it would have slipped; it would have been nice if the chuck were hex rather than round, but it worked.
