I had read both good and bad reviews about this tool, so it was hard to decide which one to believe. I waited about 10 days to try it out, and I was surprised to find that right out of the box with no adjustments, it was cutting pretty straight. I only cut about 12 boards, but so far, it’s been a good tool.
This thing has cost me about 50 dollars worth of laminate flooring boards because it drifts no matter how I set it up. I’ve looked at a lot of YouTube videos and bought new blades, but nothing works. If I hold the piece of flooring tight to the fence the drift gets so bad about halfway down the board that the blade gets stuck and the machine bogs to a halt. The only way to finish your cut is to let it ride on the drift a little longer.
