There are two holes because it’s a combo, which isn’t good because it looks ba. Spins freely and won’t stay in place. The clip is hard to close, but it may work better with staples (I didn’t try). It would also turn a nail into a pretzel once in a while, but not very often.
In the end, I bought a much more expensive brand instead. I’m glad I did that.
