That’s what I read in the reviews. Some people say this is either a hit or a miss for them. I’ve had mine for about a year. Use an angle grinder about five hours a day. I work as a blacksmith and welder. If it isn’t cutting fast enough, I don’t let up. I’ve used this angle grinder to make a lot of thick cuts, from cutting 8″ wide by half inch thick H beams to 1″ thick plate. 2 inches thick. One and a half to two and a half inch round bar. Angle grinders love me because I live in Florida. As long as no one can figure out the joke, I’m the place where angle grinders go to die. A person on a budget who doesn’t have enough money for a good one like a Milwaukee or even a matbo should buy this. In the beginning, I said that this was a “hit or miss” item. You could get a great one like I did, or it could only last two uses. It’s better than a Walmart deal or a Harbor Freight deal any day.

So it died the other day, but not fully. When pressure is used, it seems that the gear inside has worn down. It still turns on and spins, but when pressure is used, it stops. As a bonus, it’s now only half the price I paid when I bought mine.
