TL;DR: Waste your money somewhere else. There’s better options, even for basic cheap compact drills.
I naturally started by testing this drill out in practical use. Its chuck is one of those cheapo’s that require two hands and is a pain in the ass to get something tight in. No to say its not usable.
The top portion of the drill is very heavy compared to the rest of the drill – its not well balanced. In fact, this drill in general is really heavy compared to drills twice its size.
The build quality feels decent but thats almost where it ends. You need to give it a good tug to get the battery out. The switch feels cheap as hell. The battery is comprised of cheap off brand 18650’s with a capacity of 1.3AH. They get hot while under load and cannot output enough current. The BMS in this thing is minimal and crammed so there’s little room for cooling. This drill cant even do 3 inch screws into hardwood. Cant drill a 1/2 inch hole with a spade bit. Taking it apart, the motor is big enough, switch is OK but cheap, Mosfet has enough cooling. The battery is just insanely cheap.
You can easily get something else thats better for the same price, or go to your local Walmart and get a Hypertough drill for about 25 bucks thats better in every way. Even for a cheap drill, it isnt worth it.
