This is the spring with a chrome housing that returns the quill to the top of the drill after you have finished drilling. All types of vacuum cleaner coil springs, volume tube coil springs, and safety belt coil springs are used in this application.
The service was outstanding. Delivery was lightning fast. Unfortunatley, this does not pass muster. I have a Skil 10″ 3320 Drill Press that I use regularly. Because it was a 10″ drill press, I assumed I would require a 10″ spring. I was wrong. This isn’t the case at all. 6mm wide springs would be required for this application. The part number for the skil is 2610009641. It’s a shame because I had high hopes for this.
