The standard size will accept Oregon or any other popular rims but the OEM Stihl medium size will only accept Stihl OEM rims. Might have been a marketing ploy for Stihl but in the end Oregon took over manufacturing rim sprockets for Stihl. It’s not a big deal except the Stihl rims are twice the price as Oregon which also isn’t that big of a deal either.
